Business leaders who are BIPOC and women face obstacles that prevent them from achieving economic and professional success at a disproportionate rate. We aim to change that with our Prosperity Initiatives.​

Why us, why now

To get a different result, we have to do something different, which is what SUMMi7 and its team of diverse entrepreneurs intend to do. By providing coaching, access to capital and a network of support, we’ll help diverse business leaders break the historical trends and rebuild a stronger, more inclusive economy.​

Small businesses are critical to our economy, making up 47% of jobs and 60+% of new jobs created every year. There remains a gap in diversity in those businesses with only 26% being minority-owned. Due to those reasons and a lack of access to capital, minority businesses have been hit the hardest.

OUR VISION

As a result of our Prosperity Initiatives we envision the following social impact.:

Sustained Growth for Diversely-Led Businesses

In five years there will be more diverse founders and leaders of businesses that have sustained growth for more than three years.

Improved Society and Environment

In seven years the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance in the underserved and underrepresented communities that the business owners and leaders we serve shows notable improvement. There will be more companies with a diverse and inclusive workforce. Issues affecting impoverished communities will be positively impacted, such as fewer food deserts, better education opportunities at all levels and more businesses launched in communities of color that are owned, led and managed by diverse peoples.

Increased Diverse Leadership and Workforce

In nine years there would be more diverse leaders in C-suite and upper management, as well as the boardroom. There would also be more jobs created, with improved skills to match in previously higher unemployment areas. In addition, there will be economic growth in these communities with diverse leaders as role models for emerging young professionals.

Helped One Billion People

In the tenth year we are nearing our goal of helping one billion people by the end of 2030.

Be true to what we say and do. We are going to be purposeful when seeking out people to help and how we help them. We are not going to be passive or performative. If those who need us the most can’t get to us, we will build bridges into their communities to bring SUMMi7 to them. ​

Impactful

Make long-term change in businesses and communities that we serve through our products, services and Prosperity Initiatives.​

Empathetic

Lead with compassion and recognize how our privileges must be used as tools to elevate those who are less fortunate and disenfranchised.
